Endless loops

We present an algorithm for producing a seamless animated loop from single image. The detects periodic structures, such as the windows of building or steps staircase, and generates non-trivial displacement vector field that maps each segment structure onto neighboring along user- auto-selected main direction motion. This is used, together with suitable temporal spatial smoothing, to warp image produce frames continuous animation loop. Our cinemagraphs are created in under second on mobile device. Over 140,000 users downloaded our app exported over 350,000 cinemagraphs. Moreover, we conducted two user studies show prefer method creating surreal structured compared more manual approaches previous methods.
